pricing
Priced so a small shop can say yes.
Custom engineering used to start around twenty thousand dollars, because it took a team several weeks. We build with AI tooling that does the same work in days, and we price accordingly. A two-person shop can now afford what only mid-size manufacturers could before.
Where the savings come from
Our tooling speeds up some work enormously and other work barely at all, so we only discount where the saving is real. Websites, renders, automations, document processing, and drawing cleanup all move far faster than they did five years ago, and the price reflects that.
Other work resists the shortcut. Somebody still has to measure a worn part by hand. Novel mechanical design is judgment, and judgment takes the time it takes. Integrating against an undocumented legacy system means reading it carefully before touching anything. That work costs what it costs, and we would rather tell you than pretend otherwise.
Start with a package
Fixed scope, fixed price, written out before you commit. Good places to start if you have never hired an engineering studio and would rather test the water than dive in.
Render set
from $600
Five photorealistic views of an existing 3D model, ready for a pitch deck, a catalog, or a crowdfunding page. Two rounds of revisions.
Small business website
from $1,800
Up to five pages, written and built, fast on a phone, with a contact route that lands in your inbox. Two rounds of revisions.
Your first automation
from $900
One workflow automated end to end. Quotes, invoices, or forms read and routed without anyone retyping them.
Drawing package cleanup
from $700
Existing or faded drawings recreated as clean, dimensioned CAD your shop and your suppliers can work from.
Larger projects
Work that needs real scoping gets a fixed quote after the free gap assessment, never an open-ended hourly arrangement. Two shapes cover most of it.
- A full project, $3,000 to $15,000. A product designed from sketch to manufacture-ready drawings, an internal tool built around how you already work, a connector between two systems that refuse to talk, or a website and funnel that carries the whole sale.
- Ongoing or multi-stage work, from $15,000. Several related projects staged over months, where later phases get defined once the earlier ones land. An invention taken from drawing to product to the site that sells it, or an integration rolled out one system at a time.
What moves the number
- How many parts, pages, workflows, or systems are in scope
- Whether documentation exists, or whether we start by working out how it behaves
- How much precision the job demands, and what happens if it is wrong
- How many rounds of revision you expect to want
Your engineering department, on retainer
A monthly block of hours across any service we offer: a fixture drawing this week, a website fix the next, an automation the week after. You get priority response and a partner who already knows your business, for less than a part-time hire costs.
5 hours
$650/month
a standing half-day each month
10 hours
$1,200/month
the common starting point
20 hours
$2,200/month
steady month-to-month work
40 hours
$4,000/month
a part-time engineering department
Unused hours roll into the following month. Cancel with thirty days’ notice.
What every engagement includes
- Documentation with every hand-off, so the work survives you and us
- Files and code you own outright, with no lock-in and no hostage situations
- The same person you talked to doing the work, on a $600 job and a $30,000 one
- A fixed price agreed before anything starts, so no meter runs while you think
If a $500 fix beats a $50,000 rebuild, that is what we will recommend. We would rather quote you the smaller job and keep you for a decade than win the big one once.
Start with a free gap assessment.
Tell us what sits on each side of your gap: an invention and a market, or two systems that won’t talk. Within one business day you’ll get an honest read on the simplest bridge, the rough cost, and whether the work is worth doing. The assessment is free, and if the answer is “don’t hire us,” we’ll say so.
